The Loan Process

 

We recognize the importance of helping our borrowers in achieving optimal outcomes throughout their home buying journey. For us, that means ensuring our borrowers know what to expect during the loan process. Let us guide you through the process to successfully get pre-approved for a mortgage loan whether you are purchasing a home, refinancing or needing to cash out refinance.

Step One - Initial Conversation

Step one begins with you contacting your loan originator. During your conversation we will discuss your credit, income and any debts you have in order to establish your loan affordability and what loan programs might available to you.

Step Two - Applying for a loan

At this stage we will ask you to provide personal identification, proof of income, employment verification and we’ll order your credit report. We will also send you an official loan application.

Step Three - Loan Approval

After your mortgage lender has verified your income, assets and debt you will receive a pre-approval letter.  If you are buying a home this is when you usually start touring homes. Your getting closer to the finish line.

Step Four - Processing your loan

Our processing department will verify the accuracy of the information you’ve provided in your loan application. We will need to order a credit report and a verification of employment. If you are purchasing a property we will order an appraisal.

Step Five - Underwriting the loan

Once all of your paperwork has been processed, one of our underwriters will examine your file and make sure that all required documentation is present per your particular loan requirements. This usually involves the appraisal, title report and any updated or additional required documentation.

Step Six - Final Step

Once the underwriter has all required documents for your file we will be given the status of clear to close. Your loan documents will be sent to your escrow company and you will have an appointment to sign your loan documents. Congratulations you have completed the loan process.
